The Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Decompression Trial (IONDT)


Publications


IONDT is a single-masked, multicenter, randomized, controlled trial funded by the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health. The overall objective of the IONDT is to assess the safety and efficacy of optic nerve decompression surgery compared to careful followup alone in patients with nonarteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
