Depression in Alzheimer's Disease Study - Phase 2 (DIADS-2)

Publications

The Depression in Alzheimer’s Disease Study-2 is a randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-center trial designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sertraline for the treatment of depression in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Sertraline was tested in parallel at a target dose of 100 mg per day (range 25-125 mg) against a matched placebo. The trial enrolled 131 participants who met NIMH criteria for “Depression of Alzheimer’s Disease”. Participants will be evaluated with structured, standardized methods of diagnosis and assessment.
