CLINICAL TRIALS AREA OF CONCENTRATION

One of the major activities of the Center is the training of predoctoral and postdoctoral students.  The Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health includes a Clinical Trials concentration with the aim of educating students in the design, conduct, and analysis of trials. Elements of the concentration include:

  • Formal academic course work with a major methodologic component.

  • Trainee rotations in clinical trials during which students receive "hands-on" experience.

  • Independent methodologic research.

  • Special courses and seminar series.
