The Center
has a training grant from the National
Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health. Applicants
for traineeships must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and
must have been accepted into a doctoral degree program in the
Bloomberg School of Public Health.
National Eye Institute Pre and Post Doctoral Traineeships
The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health announces the availability of pre- and post-doctoral traineeships in clinical trials related to clinical trials methodology and vision research. These positions are supported by a training grant awarded by the National Eye Institute (EY 007127) and include full tuition and fees, trainee travel, and a stipend.
Trainees will pursue a course of studies leading to a PhD with dissertation research relevant to clinical trials methodology. In addition, post-doctoral trainees will pursue independent methodologic or vision related research in epidemiology and biostatistics under the tutelage of faculty associated with this training program.
Eligibility:
MD degree or equivalent for postdoctoral students.
Bachelors degree or equivalent with background in mathematics or biological
sciences for predoctoral students.
Successful application to the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Ophthalmologists or those interested in eye diseases given preference.
